Through poems, songs, games, art, and daily conversation, children will acquire the language during our morning Mandarin Immersion program. All of our Chinese teachers are mostly native speakers with qualified Early Childhood Education training. Challenge School has published four Chinese textbooks for our 3-5 years old classes.
The Creative Curriculum® helps preschool educators to create high-quality programs that meet the unique needs of the children and families they serve. The Creative Curriculum focuses on how young children learn best by doing. The physical space of the Creative Curriculum classroom is organized into learning centers, for example: Block Center, Dramatic Play, Art, Literacy, Discovery, Sensory, and Music/Movement.
According to the NAEYC, social curriculum should be the primary curriculum in early childhood education. Each month, our teachers discuss a social/emotional goal and give examples of character traits through puppet shows and stories. At the end of the month, our teachers pick a child who demonstrated each character trait to be the star of the month.
Our preschool program provides a bilingual Kindermusik curriculum in the morning/afternoon. In our child care curriculum, our music teacher Ms. Wang, guides the class towards a learning objective with the children as active participants in the learning process.
Our preschool teaches Mandarin immersion in the morning and English curriculum in the afternoon. We provide opportunities for children to have fun with language and to develop verbal skills by introducing various activities. We use Zoo-phonics as our phonics foundation. Zoo-phonics combines sound and kinesthetic movement so that children can remember the sounds of the alphabet easily.
At Challenge School preschool, besides Chinese, English, and music, we have PLAY! A lot of play means a lot of creativity. Children are happy to come to school! Our mission is to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in life. We strive to create a supportive learning community that fosters growth, creativity, and innovation. At Challenge School, we are committed to helping our students achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
Project-Based Learning (PBL) is the most inspiring, engaging, and effective instructional approach teachers can use when teaching our youngest learners. In PBL, young children take an active role in their learning, developing key knowledge and skills that lead them to become more independent and collaborative. PBL empowers students to learn and discover fundamental lessons about themselves and the world around them.
Each day, children will have the chance to explore and communicate their thoughts through various outlets. Engaging in activities and encounters that foster emotional, social, creative, cognitive, and physical development is a key aspect of our approach. We prioritize nurturing their self-awareness and actively contribute to the cultivation of their social skills, considering these elements crucial in our philosophy.
At Challenge School, we believe that education is the key to unlocking human potential. We strive to create a learning environment that is inclusive, collaborative, and supportive. We recognize that every individual has unique talents and strengths, and we aim to help our students discover and develop their full potential.
We offer a wide range of programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our students. From academic courses to vocational training, our programs are designed to equip our students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their chosen field. We also offer personalized coaching and mentoring services to help our students achieve their goals.
We leverage the latest technologies to enhance the learning experience for our students. Our online platform allows students to access course materials, communicate with instructors, and collaborate with peers from anywhere in the world. We also use cutting-edge tools such as virtual reality and gamification to make learning more engaging and interactive.
