Onsite Summer Camp FAQ

San Mateo County Stable Groups Guidelines

Challenge School is consistently keeping up to date with CDC, Health Department, and Licensing regulations/guidelines. Onsite Camp will follow San Mateo Health County order guidelines, i.e. operating the camp as stable groups.

What a is stable group and how camp will be organized?

Per San Mateo Shelter-in-Place FAQ, we will operate our onsite camp as 1-2 stable groups.  Each stable group will have 12 children or less and its own set of teachers, space, and supplies for 3 consecutive weeks.  Please see below section.

Why is the onsite option only 3 weeks per session?

We will operate the camp as 3 consecutive weeks sessions per SM SIP order.  Children are not allowed to simultaneously attend two different camps and cannot switch camps during the 3 weeks session.   Our onsite camp sessions are as the following:

  • Onsite Session 1: July 6-10, 13-17, 20-24
  • Onsite Session 2: July 27-31, Aug 3-7, Aug 10-14

What are your safety and cleaning procedures?

Challenge School will follow CDC cleaning and dis-infecting guidelines.  We have also conducted safety and cleaning trainings for our staff and our janitor.   All of our onsite staff will be wearing masks during camp.

Pickup and Dropoff Procedure

Our camp hours are 9-5pm.  Parents are required to come ONLY during dropoff and pickup hours.

Visitors are not allowed during any other time. Parents are also required to wear masks and adhere to the 6 feet of social distancing.

Parents will need to fill out a Health check questionnaire for their child every morning before check in.  We will check each child's temperature during the day and will watch children for overall wellness.
